Costume Update

Here are a couple of shots of two of the stewardesses in their uniforms. Gretchen is in yellow and Gabriella in green. I didn't notice until after I took the photos that Gretchen had her skirt skewed. She had the zip at the side instead of at the back. There is no front seam! And this was taken before we decided to put the navy trim around the pockets.

Update

I realize I haven't posted in quite some time, so I thought I'd let you all know why! I'm currently involved with one of our local theatres, Langham Court. I'm the costume designer for Boeing Boeing, a mid 60s farce about a young American man living in Paris. He is engaged to three stewardesses, all of whom work for different airlines. So far, Bernard has managed to keep them all separate, but with the advent of a faster airplane, all his careful calculations go out the window, resulting in a hilarious Laugh In style interaction with doors.

Anyway, we've got most of the uniforms done, the men outfitted and two weeks to go till the costume parade, where the Director sees the costumes onstage and under lights, so we can see how they (hopefully) work. Below is a rendition of how the uniforms will look, with a little creative colour change! Actual photos will be posted after the run starts at the end of July.

 

Progress on Cersei Inspired Dress

The dress is almost finished! What a project; lots of hand sewing, 22 pairs of grommets, beading, etc. but I am reasonably pleased with how it's turning out. Just have the hem to hand sew and the interfacing to hand finish, then it's done.

Beaded and Embroidered Lion for Game of Thrones Dress

Got one of the lions finished today; there are two, one on each sleeve. This dress is inspired by one of Cersei's dresses in Game of Thrones.

Costume Shoot

We did a shoot today with just some of the costumes I have available, either ready made or for custom orders. I will post more in a day or two.
